The University of Waterloo is a public research institution that began operating in 1957 and has just 74 engineering students who are jointly trained. According to Research Infosource 2021, the University of Waterloo is Canada’s leading research university for the 14th consecutive year. The University of Waterloo has four campuses in Cambridge, Kitchener, Stratford, and Ontario. Of its four campuses, Cambridge, Kitchener, and Stratford are three satellite campuses, while Ontario is its main campus. The total campus area is approximately 1,000 hectares.
University of Waterloo courses are offered in six faculties and over 30 faculties and schools: Arts, Engineering, Environment, Health, Mathematics, and Science. In total, the University of Waterloo offers students over 100 undergraduate majors and 190 postgraduate courses.
