The University of British Columbia is a public university in British Columbia, Canada. The University of British Columbia (UBC) is a center of excellence in teaching, learning, and research. The University of British Columbia offers 254 undergraduate and 244 graduate degrees in business, science, education, health and medicine, engineering, and humanities. The Vancouver campus houses over 13,000 students in 15 residence halls. Most students qualify for the first-year guarantee in the fall semester. The rest of the residency is for high school and graduate students. A typical cost for a new undergraduate room and meal plan is about $12,000 to $14,500 per year.
