Combinational logic circuits are digital circuits that are used to perform logical operations on sets of digital inputs. They are composed of logic gates, which manipulate the digital inputs to produce an output based on their logical operation.
Combinational logic circuits are composed of logic gates that take one or more digital inputs and output a single digital output.
The input and output signals can be either binary (high or low) or multi–bit (more than two states). Each logic gate performs a logical operation on the inputs to produce the output.

For example, if two inputs are given, the output will be determined by how the inputs are combined with the logic gate. This process is known as Boolean logic, named after George Boole, who developed the concept of logic gates.
